Historic City Walk

Our work aimed to boost foot traffic to Cardiff city centre by offering engaging and enjoyable experiences for both residents and visitors. As a result we created two trails - one for adults and one for children. The Business Improvement District sought to enhance Cardiff's appeal as a destination by sharing interesting information about local landmarks. This approach helped draw more visitors to the city and provided support to local retailers and businesses.

Project Objectives:

  • Track how many people interact with the experience
  • Measure how many visitors explore more than one point of interest on the trail
  • Develop a way to understand the mix of tourists and locals to better support tourism and retail efforts
  • Monitor how many people click on links for more information about events and promotions, reflecting interest in driving additional footfall

Project Outcomes:

  • 100% of users found the experience enjoyable
  • Discovered that 40% of users were visiting Cardiff for the first time
  • Boosted consumer spend at key points of interest featured on the trail

Hello EA Outcomes:
