Project Objectives:
- Engage with a wider variety of people in the community on climate change
- Increase awareness of the work the council is doing to make Dundee more sustainable
- Understand community perceptions on climate change
- Encourage more people to speak about climate change
- Provide support and tools on how the community can be more resilient to climate change
Project Outcomes:
- Provided insightful feedback on improving local areas, such as Dundee’s green spaces and EV charging infrastructure
- Gathered individual efforts to tackle climate change. Examples include recycling, buying second-hand, educating others, car sharing and reducing meat consumption
- The data gathered enables the council to enhance educational efforts, develop new resources and more effectively engage the community
- Residents are now well-informed about local sustainability initiatives and how they can get involved
Hello EA Outcomes:
“The tool can be a unique way to learn about some of the great work already taking place in Dundee to address the climate and nature emergency - showing off some things that residents might not be aware of that are happening right around the corner from them.”
Heather Anderson,
Climate, Environment and Biodiversity Convener Councillor
